Message from Dr. Rasha Kelej on Community donations provided in Liberia to support the livelihood of women and casual workers affected by Coronavirus lockdown.

Barely a week after identifying with at least 100 families from the community of people living with a disability in Monrovia, Montserrado County, Merck Foundation together with the First Lady of Liberia foundation, extend support to other communities affected by the coronavirus lockdown by distributing boxes which contain 160 bags (25kg each) of rice and vegetable oil (3-gal each) were distributed on 1600 persons. 

Merck Foundation have scaled up this initiative to further support more than 1000 poor families in each of the following countries in partnership with their First Ladies; DRC Congo, Niger, Chad, Burkina Faso, Zimbabwe, Malawi and Ghana with the aim to save the livelihood of thousands of families. stay tuned for more updates…”
