Special message to Hon. Dr. Louis Dr. Louise Mapleh Kpoto:

We are always proud of your achievements in women’s Health and reproductive care fields and now as you embark on this new chapter, I am confident that you will bring about transformative changes in the healthcare system specially, increasing the limited number of specialists in the public sector and transforming patient care landscape in Liberia.

I am also proud to share that out of a total, 1700 scholarships Merck Foundation provided,  38 scholarships were for young Liberian Doctors in many critical and underserved medical specialities such as;  Diabetes, Endocrinology, Oncology, Fertility, Embryology, Gastroenterology, Respiratory Medicine, Cardiology, Clinical Psychiatry, Dermatology, Emergency and Resuscitation Medicine, Infectious diseases, Obesity and Weight Management, Pain Management and more so they can be the first specialists in Liberia. We are looking forward to significantly increase this number to more doctors in more specialties in partnership with the Ministry of health of Liberia.

Once again, congratulations on your well-deserved appointment.

Kind Regards,
