It was a great honor to meet with The First Lady of Nigeria, H.E. Dr. Mrs. Aisha Muhammadu Buhari to discuss Merck Foundation programs and our long-term partnership to build healthcare capacity, break Infertility stigma, and support Girls’ Education. We underscored our long-term commitment to raising awareness through our ‘More than a Mother’ awards of best media recognition, film making, song, fashion designs with the aim to empower women with infertility and support girls’ education in Nigeria.
Together with Nigeria First Lady, Merck Foundation has provided more than 30 scholarships to doctors of one-year diploma and two-year master’s degree in underserved and critical specialties to transform patient care in Nigeria.
