Message from Dr. Rasha Kelej congratulating 96 doctors on their selection for PG One-year Diploma in Sexual and Reproductive Medicine and inviting them to the 7th Merck Africa Asia Luminary 2020 via videoconference.

I’d like to congratulate all the doctors selected by the scientific committee to benefit from the Merck Foundation scholarship program of PG One-year Diploma in Sexual and Reproductive Medicine from UK University. These doctors will be the future reproductive care experts and Merck Foundation Alumni in Africa and Asia. This is a great milestone in transforming women’s health in general and reproductive health and Fertility care in particular in both continents. I am very proud of all of you, more than 96 doctors from 17 Countries such as Bangladesh, Botswana, Gambia, Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Namibia, Nigeria, Philippines, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Sudan, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.

Therefore, I am pleased to invite our selected doctors from Africa and Asia, who are also Merck Foundation Alumni; to join the Special Edition of 7th Merck Africa Asia Luminary 2020 – Merck More Than a Mother via videoconference (Zoom Platform)  – to discuss and share information and experience with me and each other, all details about the 1-year Diploma in Sexual and Reproductive Medicine.

The objectives of the meeting are to discuss the challenges and solutions to build fertility care capacity and define interventions to improve access to quality and equitable Fertility Care Solutions and break the stigma around infertility and Infertile Women in Africa and Asia, the introduction of the online Diploma and exchange experience and post-training impact between the Merck Foundation current Alumni and Clinical Fertility Specialty training graduates and the new candidate and the future Merck Foundation Alumni.
