L\u2019occasion pour la directrice ex\u00e9cutive de la Fondation Merck et pr\u00e9sidente de la campagne \u2039\u2039&nbsp; Plus Qu\u2019une M\u00e8re \u203a\u203a de la Fondation Merck, la S\u00e9natrice Dr Rasha Kelej, d\u2019annoncer la tenue du tout premier sommet annuel mondial de sensibilisation sur l\u2019infertilit\u00e9 (WAIS 2022)&nbsp; pr\u00e9vu se tenir&nbsp; le 24 juin 2022.<\/strong><\/p><p>Le sommet annuel mondial de sensibilisation sur l\u2019infertilit\u00e9 du 24 juin 2022, annonc\u00e9 par la S\u00e9natrice \u00e9gyptienne Dr Rasha Kelej se pr\u00e9sente comme une importante&nbsp; rencontre pouvant permettre de porter encore plus loin la question de l\u2019infertilit\u00e9 au sein du couple et de la population.<\/p><p>Cette conf\u00e9rence de presse a donc permis aux participants des m\u00e9dias de s\u2019impr\u00e9gner de la th\u00e9matique sur l\u2019infertilit\u00e9 afin d\u2019en faire une large diffusion sur les diff\u00e9rents canaux de communication, dans l\u2019optique d\u2019impacter les changements comportementaux des populations, sur la question.<\/p><p>Tour \u00e0 tour, la S\u00e9natrice Dr Rasha Kelej, directrice ex\u00e9cutive de la Fondation Merck, Dr Edgar Mocanu et Prof Oladapo Ashiru OFR, pr\u00e9sident de la Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Africaine des Soins Reproductifs (ARCS) et pr\u00e9sident de la Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Africaine des Soins Reproductifs et&nbsp; \u00e9galement pr\u00e9sident de l\u2019acad\u00e9mie des sp\u00e9cialistes m\u00e9dicales du Nigeria, ont&nbsp; intervenu pour outiller la quarantaine de journalistes participants&nbsp; sur la th\u00e9matique, mais aussi de leur apporter des \u00e9clairages sur les diff\u00e9rentes pr\u00e9occupations li\u00e9es \u00e0 la m\u00eame th\u00e9matique.<\/p><p>L\u2019objectif \u00e9tant d\u2019armer les professionnels des m\u00e9dias partout en Afrique, pour briser le tabou de la stigmatisation li\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019infertilit\u00e9. \u2039\u2039 Il est important pour les m\u00e9dias d\u2019apporter une prise de conscience sur la question de l\u2019infertilit\u00e9, \u00e0 travers la sensibilisation des populations \u203a\u203a, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Prof Oladapo Ashiru OFR, dans ses interventions.<\/p><p>Pour sa part, Dr Edgar Mocanu, pr\u00e9sident de la F\u00e9d\u00e9ration Internationale des Soci\u00e9t\u00e9s de Fertilit\u00e9 (IFFS ) a soulign\u00e9 que le style de vie,&nbsp; l\u2019environnement pollu\u00e9 ainsi que le stress peuvent \u00e9galement causer l\u2019infertilit\u00e9 chez l\u2019homme et chez la femme. Il a en outre, soulign\u00e9 que l\u2019infertilit\u00e9 qui est l\u2019absence de grossesse chez un couple h\u00e9t\u00e9rosexuel apr\u00e8s 9 \u00e0 12 mois de rapport sexuel sans contraception, diff\u00e8re justement de la st\u00e9rilit\u00e9 qui est l\u2019incapacit\u00e9 pour l\u2019homme ou la femme de procr\u00e9er. S\u2019il est possible de traiter l\u2019infertilit\u00e9 chez l\u2019homme aussi bien que chez la femme, tel n\u2019est pas le cas, s\u2019agissant de la st\u00e9rilit\u00e9.<\/p><p>C\u2019est pourquoi, la S\u00e9natrice Dr Rasha Kelej, directrice ex\u00e9cutive de la Fondation Merck et pr\u00e9sidente de Merck \u2039\u2039 Plus Qu\u2019une M\u00e8re \u203a\u203a, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que les responsabilit\u00e9s sont partag\u00e9es en mati\u00e8re de l\u2019infertilit\u00e9 du couple, et par cons\u00e9quent la femme ne doit pas \u00eatre stigmatis\u00e9e \u00e0 cause de cette situation.<\/p><p>Fervente d\u00e9fenseuse de l\u2019autonomisation de la femme, Dr Rasha Kelej s\u2019active \u00e9norm\u00e9ment depuis des ann\u00e9es, dans plusieurs projets pour le bien-\u00eatre des femmes et des enfants en Afrique.
