\n\nWe are very happy to partner with The New First Lady of Malawi H.E. Mrs. MONICA CHAKWERA<\/strong> and underscore our long-term commitment to build healthcare capacity, empower girls in education and break the stigma of infertility in Malawi. We are also very proud to appoint The First Lady of Malawi<\/strong> as the Ambassador of \u201cMerck More Than a Mother\u201d<\/strong> and welcome her as a new member of Merck Foundation First Ladies Initiative-MFFLI.<\/strong><\/p>

We are going to work very closely with The First Lady of Malawi<\/strong> and the Government of Malawi to make history together by providing training for the First Specialists<\/strong> in many fields such as; Fertility, Sexual and Reproductive Medicines, Oncology, Diabetes, Endocrinology, and Respiratory and Acute Medicines with the aim to improve access to quality and equitable health care in the country. Merck Foundation will enroll the Malawian doctors, selected by the First Lady office and Ministry of Health, to their various training programs for the next 10 years.

\"\"<\/figure><\/div>

\n\nMerck Foundation will continue their important program \u201cEducating Linda\u201d<\/strong> together with Malawi First Lady<\/strong> to sponsor the education of 20 best performing girls in their secondary schools till they graduate.<\/p>

Moreover, Merck Foundation celebrated three winners from Malawi for their \u201cStay at Home\u201d Media Recognition Awards<\/strong> from Southern African Countries to raise awareness about COVID 19 in the country.<\/p>

I am thankful to H.E. Mrs. MONICA CHAKWERA, The First Lady of Malawi<\/strong> for attending Video Conference Summit of Merck Foundation First Ladies Initiative (MFFLI)<\/strong> along with 13 African First Ladies<\/strong> to discuss joint efforts to build healthcare capacity and strengthen the response to COVID-19 in the country and Africa at large.<\/p>

I am looking forward to working with The First Lady of Malawi, H.E. Mrs. MONICA CHAKWERA<\/strong> to further advance healthcare capacity and promise to improve access to quality and equitable health care and create a strong medical army in Malawi.<\/p>
