The foundation believes that education is an important factor in promoting economic well-being in Africa.<\/p><p>Merck Foundation has celebrated over 40 winners of the Merck Africa Research Summit Awards (MARS) from 18 African Countries including Botswana, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Kenya, Mauritius, Morocco, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tunisia, Uganda, and Zimbabwe.<\/p><p>The MARS 2020 Winners will be announced later this (before the end of this year).
